----------------------------------------------------------

As many of you know, the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services opened a request for proposals for indicated and selected prevention programs to serve each of the regions throughout the state of NH. These monies were made available through the state Alcohol Fund and a set amount was determined for each of the 10 regions, including the Monadnock Region. Awards were announced, and a portion of the funds have been allocated.

However, some regions did not have enough proposals that met the scoring criteria and the funding that was allocated to that region remains available. For any region where funding was not allocated in full, a new request for proposals will be announced. Our understanding is that several regions across the state have remaining monies available that will go back out in a new RFP process. At this time we do not have any details as to how much money remains in the Monadnock Region allocation, nor how the RFP process will occur and timeline. As details unfold MVP will share the information we receive via email and our website at www.monadnockvoices.org. We encourage you to monitor the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol services site as well, http://www.dhhs.state.nh.us/DHHS/ATOD/default.htm.  As always, please feel free to contact us.

-----------------------------------------------------------

4/14/2010: Hello-I wanted to let you know that the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services will be reopening the request for proposals in regions where funds were not fully allocated. Last week we sent an email to say that money allocated to each region would remain in that region. A reminder that this is for select and indicated substance abuse prevention strategies linked to regional priorities. This is not the Monadnock Voices for Prevention rfp that was released and has been awarded. This is state level funds flowing down to local providers.

Because of state guidelines, they cannot tell us whether we have funds remaining. However, in conversations with those that did or did not receive funds we are assuming that we do have some remaining funds in the Monadnock Region (region G). I wanted to give you a heads up that a new RFP will be coming out and it will have the remaining funds for Region G available as part of it.

As soon as we have more information we will provide it to you through email and our website at www.monadnockvoices.org . We have been told that when the process reopens, previous applicants that did not receive funding can reapply as well as new applicants.
