New Hampshire’s 13 Regional Public Health Networks (RPHNs) were created in 2013 to promote the health and safety of our residents, and better coordinate health services and care providers. RPHNs cover a wide range of public health interests and organizations, that aim to work together to address the complex public health issues facing our state.
Cheshire County and western Hillsborough County are served by the Greater Monadnock Regional Public Health Network. Part of its mission is to provide infrastructure, leadership and coordination of substance misuse prevention and treatment programs. Monadnock Voice for Prevention (MVP) is part of this effort. You can find a copy of MVP's 3 year Strategic Plan here.
In 2015, the Greater Monadnock Public Health Network Advisory Council put out a Community Health Improvement Plan. Through this plan the advisory council identified 5 community priority areas to focus their work over the next 3 years. These priority areas include: obesity, tobacco use, behavioral health, emergency preparedness, and substance and alcohol misuse. You can find a copy of the Community Health Improvement Plan here.
