Life of an Athlete Coming to Your Community

in the 2011-2012 year

U-POP.org web site

The U-POP.org website  is dedicated to young people ages 12 - 25.  The U-POP campaign is more than a website or a Facebook page or a mobile app - although it uses all of these things. It is a collection of web apps that help to tell the story of being young & living life clean in New Hampshire.

Throughout the summer, a cast of characters (avatars) will be introduced to share their challenges, troubles, joys and triumphs. The young people in the community who join in and participate, can follow the resdients of "603" and help shape their destinies - while learning ways to help create their own path towards a life of clean, sober thought and fun without the need for a drink or a drug.

The campaign offers posts highlighting "clean" events in the Monadnock Region, personal avatars that they can create from scratch - for fun or a way of anonymously participating in the quizes, polls and games offered on the site.  Videos created by local teens and video collections from YouTube are presented with peer-to-peer messages about the joy and freedom that comes with being clean, as well as presenting the dangers of saying "yes".  This campaign is about the journey our young people make and the ways we can support their choice for a clean path. Please share this journey with the young people you know.
